It's a bird, it's a plane...it's our seven month old!

Well, Annie celebrated her seven month birthday with lots of activity! Saturday, she and Daddy spent a lot of time together as Mommy was at Mattie's wedding shower, and then she joined Mommy at Ashley's baby shower where she enjoyed playing with ten week old Natalie.

Sunday, we spend the day with Daddy's family. We met Uncle Jeff, Aunt Dee, and Cousin Emily for brunch at Grandma Barb's and we all put on our Halloween costumes there. Then, we headed (in costume, of course) to Papa and Nana's where we visited more, and Great-Grandma Helen joined us for dinner.

It was a very full, very fun weekend, and it wore us all out.

To top it all off, Annie's top two teeth are peeking through!! She's been a bit fussier than normal with this, but seems to be handling it all splendidly. And, she's impressed her mom with her acceptance of our newest food: green beans.

We hope everyone has a great week!

Thursday means music class...

So, Annie and I met Daddy downtown for our weekly class. This week was "Bring a Friend" week, so Annie had invited River to come along. She especially enjoyed time with him at the end of class, when she enjoyed grabbing and sucking his head (we're choosing to see this as a precursor to hugging and kissing and called it affectionate), they both seemed to enjoy this till their foreheads were red from bumping into each other.

Annie sang and danced along as usual throughout class (impressing her teacher with her rhythm), and seemed today to especially like playing catch at the end. Each time Daddy helped Annie throw the ball to Mommy, she broke out laughing.

That's all for now...We are looking forward to a nice autumn, very busy with friends and family, weekend! And, we'll be introducing a new food--yet to be determined and making our Halloween costumes!

Have a great day!

We're starting...

We've thought a blog would be a good thing for awhile now, mostly to keep people in the loop with Annie.

So, as we approach her seventh month birthday, here are the notable things:

1. She is sweet and inquisitive...always observing and interacting with everyone and everything around her. Her current favorite toy is a dancing, drum playing (wonder where she got that from), singing monkey.

2. She loves music...Besides getting to watch this at the baby music class we are taking, she enjoys playing the piano (while singing and dancing of course) at home and dancing to music whenever she hears it.

3. She is extremely active, not liking to sit still for a moment. It seems like she's preferred standing to sitting since she was two weeks old, is quite fond of doing stomach crunches (I can't figure that one out!), loves to roll about and get to her toys, and is quite proud of her sturdy sitting skills.

4. She is enjoying the world of solids...it's a new, messy world for us! Thus far, we've added some veggies and fruit to the rice cereal and she's seemed to enjoy them all, though with carrots and peaches she's had some hesitancy--she just has to be in the right mood!

We could go on and on, we've been awed by all the little things in Annie's life, and how wonderful they are! We look forward to continuing to share them with you!
