This past weekend, we had another holiday weekend. Again, we packed up the car with lots of gear, and set out for a drive. This drive, however, was just 20 minutes. Our destination was across town to Eric's dad's house where we had a relaxing weekend with a bit of camping.
Eric's brother and family brought along their tents, and Annie very excitedly spent her first two nights in a tent. Friday night we ate food cooked on the campfire (there's a fire pit just behind our little camping area in the backyard). Saturday, we had a relaxing day, Eric and Annie ducked out for her third swim lesson, she continues to enjoys these, and she asks a couple of times a day about when she is going to go to swim class.
In the evening, we attended church with Papa and Nana. Papa is the Director of Music there, and Eric and his brother, Jeff, accompanied the choir for the service. It was great to watch them play all together (Eric and Jeff on percussion, his dad playing the piano). After church, we grilled out and then had another campfire. Sunday, we relaxed most of the morning, and then walked to a nearby park to play before lunch and heading home.
I can't get the first two pictures to turn. So here though is upside down SIri on her six week birthday, and upside down Annie playing in the yard.
Annie had tons of fun playing with her cousin, Emily. "Emily, Emily, Emily" was heard all through out the weekend. Emily was wonderful and patient, playing all sorts of games with Annie, which delighted Annie. Here is Emily holding Siri, and all the cousins together.
We're amazed that it's mid-July already...

Siri has gotten so much bigger already! And I can't believe how grown up Annie looks in that "cousins" picture. I really hope that we can work it out to get our families together soon!!!!
