Siri at Ten Months

Over the last two months, it seems Siri has become an amazingly different baby--not in her disposition, she's as sweet as ever, but in how old she is.  I love this stage, and at the same time am a bit sad to think that she is moving quickly to toddlerhood, I will miss baby Siri.

She is quite an adept crawler, and over the last week has been quite determined to walk, with assistance of course, but we're all impressed with how she has the motion down.  She babbles as much as ever, and every day we are certain we are hearing her say words very clearly and in the right context. "Grandpa" was today's word, yesterday "duck", the day before "splash."  Yes, this might sound like a ridiculous claim, but if you could hear her, we think you'd agree.  Whatever she is or isn't saying, she is being quite determined to communicate and that's a treat.  She's also starting to pick up some baby sign, and her "more" can be quite precise.

She loves waving "hello" and "goodbye" to people, and is typically very social when we're out and about.  She is definitely being more aware of strangers, and spends a great deal of time studying people before she decides how to respond to them.  She loves playing with Annie, playing with anyone, playing with toys.  She loves to dance to music, to sing and play the piano.

She loves being outside.  We ate dinner outside tonight, and she was so observant of everything; diligently watching every bug, bird, and plane that flew by.
