Each month, we're going to pick a poem to learn as a family.
The girls decided for the first month we should come up with our own poem, but then they also found a poem they wanted read each night to accompany it. It's been a fun little ritual at dinner.
Here's our September poem:
We started school. (clap two times)
Nights got cool. (clap two times)
Leaves begin to fall.
The girls have enjoyed the first month of school; they've enjoyed watching the leaves begin to fall, enjoyed exploring their new neighborhood, sipping cups of teas, playing together, playing apart, playing piano. They've enjoyed meeting new neighbors (people and dogs), dancing, biking, and creating autumnal decorations. They've enjoying cooking and baking and settling into their new space, helping with projects, and being with friends.
