Annie's Newest Word

After some practice throughout the day, Annie added a new word to her vocabulary list: Ella.

This afternoon we went to visit Annie's newest friend, baby Ella Maren, and her delighted parents, Brett and Emily. We are happy to report that all three are doing quite well and are very much enjoying their time together.

Annie was very excited to go the hospital. When we arrived, Annie was excited to see Grandma (who'd been helping Emily and Brett as their doula). Her attention quickly turned to Ella, who was nursing when we arrived. Annie wanted to watch her, and pat her head. Once Ella was done nursing, I got to hold her, and Annie continued to greet Ella (at first with "hi" then with "Ella"), to notice her hands, and all her sweetness. Ella stared at Annie the whole time, taking it all in!

It's fun to think about all the fun the two of them will have together in the future!
