California

At the beginning of the month, Annie was thrilled to take Siri on her first plane ride. We headed to California for a family friend's wedding, and for time with extended family. It was a whirlwind trip--we arrived in San Francisco late at night, and then for the four nights we were CA, slept a different place each night. The girls did wonderfully on the trip, and we were so happy for them to get to meet people there.

After a night with our dear friend, Julie, we picked up Uncle Alex and cousin Elliott from the airport, and then headed across the Bay (traveling via the Bay Bridge which thrilled both Annie and Elliott--especially the tunnel midway through) to meet up with my parents and to my dad's aunt and uncle's home where we got to visit with cousins (and second cousins and cousins-once-removed and I never know what to call them cousins). It was a wonderful to get caught up and spend some relaxed time together.

After our time in the Bay Area, we headed north to Sacramento for the wedding. We all had a great time at the wedding, visiting with friends, and the kids loved playing with the parasols and dancing (Annie had to be dragged off the dance floor when it was time to go!).

We spent the rest of the weekend with our friends at their home. After countless trips there growing up, it was a treat to see Annie and Siri there.

Here are Annie and Siri waiting to deplane upon arriving home. As well as they both did, as we made our way through the airport we kept saying we can't imagine how people would do it with more kids. One-on-one is a ratio we're quite happy with right now!
