Our Three Month Old

Siri celebrated her three month birthday today. She babbled and shrieked and cooed and laughed and slept and nursed to celebrate it. We enjoyed every minute of it.
I feel like I've given some pretty recent updates of her growing abilities and awareness, so I'll say again, she's growing, and we're loving being a part of her life. There is something so sweet about having her face light up with a smile when she sees us/hears our voices. I love that she still can sleep so peacefully in my arms, love looking at her sleeping face...she's got amazing dark, long eyelashes, and the sweetest little mouth. Her toes and fingers are so long and graceful, and she's starting to get some of the darling little baby rolls on her legs. She still has tuffs of dark brown hair on the top of her head and around the back, but blond hair is coming in steadily underneath.

We have lots of people ask if she's like Annie, and it's amazing how--even at this age--she is completely her own girl. Yes, there are many ways she reminds me of Annie. Both girls are so observant and curious, both enjoy cuddling. Siri is far more talkative than I remember Annie being, her constant vocalizations definitely are giving Annie a run for her money. She generally has a more mellow disposition, and loves watching her mobile far more than Annie ever did. Annie was champion of the cat-nap, Siri can nap for a good three or four hours. Both girls love being outside, love going for walks, love watching each other.

It's been a good three months, and we're excited to see how Siri continues to grow and change this fall (and beyond!).
