December #1: Advent in Minnesota

We enjoyed celebrating Advent at home, thrilled to get to experience the anticipation and wonder with Annie and Siri…
They loved getting out our decorations, picking out the tree, playing with the nativity scene, and creating one themselves.
We all enjoyed being a part of the Christmas Pageant at church, and celebrating Christmas with friends and families here in Minnesota.

Annie and Siri as Shepherds "Do You See What I See?"

Eric as accompanist (and Magi, among many other things) at the Christmas Pageant

Siri as a sheep at the Christmas Pageant

Annie as a shepherd--I love her intensity!

Annie ready for cookie baking party at school

The girls at the Carsons' Holiday Party - meeting Santa. Annie showed no reservations about sitting on his lap, but did NOT want to tell him what she wanted, while Siri would get no where near him at first (hiding under my skirt), and then was willing to sit for this picture...

Annie wanted to learn to finger knit, and this is her first effort, which became a scarf for her to give to Grandma for Christmas
Siri and I baked St. Lucia buns

On St. Lucia Day, ready to wake Daddy up

Our own little nativity scene--Siri as Mary, Gabby as Jesus, and Annie as Joseph

And, then: Siri as Joseph, Gabby as Jesus, and Annie as Mary

The Magi being a little silly--with gold (Siri drew a picture of gold) and … pencil shavings?!

My angels...

Holding the baby Jesus and an angel from the nativity set

Siri - silly as always

Sweet Annie
