After a very full December in Minnesota, we headed to Arizona to spend Christmas with Grandma and Grandpa. It was a much quieter year than past, and while we missed seeing more of our cousins, we enjoyed the relaxing time together, and of course (I write as the "polar blast" of weather descends on Minnesota--negative 50 with wind chill tomorrow, yikes), we enjoyed the sunshine and warmth!

At Grandma and Grandpa's church, they have a little Christmas Pageant as a part of their Christmas Eve service…the girls were only too happy to get to do another pageant, while Eric and I were quite content to just sit and watch it
One of the long-standing traditions in my family--the photos in front of the tree before racing out the door to church…
And, after returning home from church, lighting the Advent Wreath together (this year, while sipping on hot chocolate)

A first this year: Camel Rides!
Siri enjoyed the camel ride, but was really much more comfortable on a hummingbird
We got in plenty of playtime in the backyard...

Climbing trees...

Checking out the pool--even though it was freezing cold, the girls played in it 'til they were soaked
