This week brought with it very chilly, rainy, windy weather. We enjoyed baking, drinking hot chocolate, cider, and tea, and cuddling under blankets. It always seem like the beginning of the holiday season, and it's fun to think about what the next few months hold for us.
My mom came back into town this past Thursday, and helped with the girls while we attended the wedding and festivities of one of my college roommates. It was wonderful to see dear friends and get caught up on everyone's lives, with people literally all over the country, those opportunities are getting more rare. It's rather shocking to think that next year is our ten year reunion, it doesn't seem possible graduation was that long ago.
This morning, we headed to the arboretum to enjoy a brisk fall day. We enjoyed showing my mom some of Annie's favorite spots there, and being outside after such a rainy week. We've loved welcoming this autumnal weather, but are also excited to be warm again when we head to Arizona later this week. We'll spend a few weeks there, introducing Siri to much of my family, and many friends.
