After our crazy day at Disneyland, we had a relaxing morning at a State Park Beach. It was pretty deserted, and wonderful. The sound, the smell, the soft sand--one morning definitely wasn't enough.
Annie wasn't certain about it at first, but by the end we had to pull her away...She loved chasing the waves back and forth. Siri also got her feet a bit wet, but she ended up doing what I would have loved to do: falling asleep to the sound of the waves. It was good to introduce Siri and reacquaint Annie with the Pacific, and I am anxious to take them back when we have more time.
But, we needed to get back to Arizona, so--after lunch--we got back in the car for the drive back across the desert. Both the girls were wonderful travelers, and we were so happy to get to have this little adventure with them.
